In a previous post about Sandals Paradise Building I had provided some pictures and reasons that personally I prefer the Sandals Negril Paradise Building to the other room options that this Negril resort has to offer. But I wanted to include some pictures of the sunsets that you get to see. Everyone knows that Negril Jamaica has some of the most beautiful sunsets in Jamaica but this is my view from the 3rd floor balcony of Paradise Block. The cool part is the trees agianst the beach and shadows of people as they walk down seven mile beach looking at the beauful Jamaican sunset.
My favorite place to stay at Sandals Negril is the Paradise Block. Three are several sections that a guest can choose from when picking a room at Sandals Negril and I’ve been a few times and will always choose the Sandals Negril Paradise building for my room. Everyone is going to have their own preferences and opinions so Paradise block might not be best for you but here’s why I enjoy it. The Sandals Negril Paradise building is a three level building right in the middle of the resort. Paradise block is just steps from the beach and the active part with volleyball and boating right outside your room. The Paradise building is also next to both the popular piano bar and the maining dining restaurant so you are close to the most popular parts of Sanals Negril. You’d think this would add to the traffic but it isn’t noticable. I enjoy staying on the beach side of Paradise block but the garden view rooms are nice and the garden offers privacy and lots to see. Because Paradise block is in the more active part you have a great clear view of the beach and more importantly those awesome Jamaican sunsets.
Want to get away from it all with your best friends and family but have a great time as well? Sandals Negril weddings are an outstanding way to combine the wedding, honeymoon and one heck of a vacation. We met some new guest friends who were getting married at Sandals Negril and were honored to be asked to attend their beach wedding. It was a beautiful setting, very intimate and the Sandals Negril staff were very professional and really had their act together to ensure the beach wedding went off without a hitch. Wedding at Sandals Negril are not limited to the beach. Because there are others on the beach and some may walk by you might also want to consider another setting like the garden which creates a bit more privacy for your wedding. What I loved about watching the folks getting married was how much fun they had before the wedding and afterwards when they could shed the hot wedding attire and get comfortable and party with the rest of the guests. While i’ve never been married at a resort, I would think this would be a memory that keeps not only the couple bonded but the friends and family they chose to invite on a memorable vacation. I’ve included a video of a beach wedding at the top of this post. You can also see the Sandals Wedding that I attended by some pictures that I shot and posted.
Heading to Sandals Negril for a vacation and wondering about the food? Well food is one of the better aspects of Sandals Negril. The quality and variety of food options are great and wide and you’ll be sure to find food you like. But here are some examples of Negril food that you can expect to find. There are a variety of restaurants at Sandals Negril, each serving various types of food. The Bayside Restaraunt serves food buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is served on a theme basis so you can expect to be served food such as Italian food or seafood or a mix of vegitibles an meats such as beef or chicken. The breakfasts are typical items like eggs, pancakes, french toast and pastries as well as a wide selection of fruits. Lunch buffet offers choices like fruits, vegitibles and meats to make sandwiches or hot items. Dino’s restaurant is an antipasti bar which is a very popular food choice for those who love Italian salad items. The Sundowner restaurant services traditional Jamaican food in an elegant setting with white glove service. You’ll find various meat dishes with vegitible side items. Kimono’s is a Tepanyaki style restaurant featuring seafood and meat items mixed with fresh vegitibles. Check out the video above showing the food served at Kimono’s. Sandals Cafe is where you can get fast food items like hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos. I’d highly recommend the jerk burgers.
Heading to Sandals Negril for an all inclusive vacation? If so you might be wondering what to pack, what is the Sandals Negril dress code? Well relax its not so complicated and from my trip to Sandals Negril I saw all types of dress. But generally the Sandals Negril dress code is divided up into two categories. Resort Casual and Resort Evening Attire. So what does this mean? Well the restaurants seem to drive the dress code at Sandals Negril. The more casual restaurants like the buffet style either suggest no dress guidance or resort casual meaning that you can pretty much wear anything you want as long as you have your top and bottom covered. Just consider any shirt, shorts, pants acceptable. What is not generally acceptable under the resort casual dress code is showing up with shorts and no shirt, bathing suit etc. For that type of casual attire you can only eat or drink at the beach type bars. For any indoor restaurant that is resort casual shorts and a shirt are fine. For the finer restaurants that suggest Evening attire usually this means some sort of long pants or for women pants or a skirt or dress. Its typical to see man in dockers, kahkai pants or sometimes dark jeans. Usually evening attire means no shorts or t-shirts. Hopefully that helps understand the Sandals Negril dress code. Generally you only need to be mindful of this when dining in one of the many restaurants.
If you are thinking of heading to Sandals Negril resort in Jamaica one of the common questions is how far is Sandals Negril from the airport. I’m going to assume the airport in question is Sangster Airport in Montego Bay Jamaica. The distance to Sandals Negril from Sangster Airport is about 75km which is about an hour and 10 minute drive to Sandals Negril from the airport. Most commonly those vacationing at Sandals Negril take a bus from the airport to the resort. It sounds unpleasant but let me tell you its a great way to see Jamaica outside of the resort and also meet some new guest friends prior to arriving to the resort. The 75km goes fast especially when you stop for a red stripe on the way to the resort. The road to Sandals Negril follows the coast so the scenery is amazing. Get yourself a window seat on the bus and relax and enjoy the next hour and ten minutes. Just to give you an idea what you might see I included a video of the bus ride from Negril to the airport so your trip is just in reverse.
Considering staying at Sandals Negril resort in one of their Honeymoon Concierge beachfront rooms? If so it might be helpful to see what the Honeymoon Concierge room looks like. Lucky for us with technology like YouTube and phones that take great video we get to see these excellent tours that give you a taste of what your honeymoon room might look like at Sandals Negril. From what I can see in the video the Sandals Negril Honeymoon Concierge Beachfront room is smaller than the lagoon suites but has many of the ammenities. This would include the stocked bar complete with refrigerator. The door leading out steps right of and onto the beach which is always nice for a few reasons. One is that its great to wake up to the sound of the waves crashing in. Its so quiet that its all you can hear VERY RELAXING. Next its convenient, if you are spending the day on the beach and need to run to the room you’re right there, no steps required. So if you are still selecting your room for your Sandals Negril vacation check out the video of the Honeymoon Concierge Beachfront room.
Thinking about vacationing at Sandals Negril and staying in one of the Crystal Lagoon Suites? You might be curious to see one of the Sandals Negril Crystal Lagoon Suites for yourself before booking your vacation. Well check out the video in this post. Someone was nice enough to film the room and then post it so we can see what one of these Lagoon Suites looks like. My first impression is that they are very spacious, elegant and great for a couple. I love the double sinks and high build quality of the bathroom. The fully stocked bar and fridge in the room is also a nice touch for those times when you don’t want to go out or perhaps want to entertain new friends in your suite. I love the outside veranda and private swim up pool (Lagoon) The chairs in the water are a nice touch, I can see spending a private afternoon in your own private part of the Crystal Lagoon.
Looking for a map of Sandals Montego Bay resort in Jamaica? Before you book its helpful to consult a map of the resort so you can pick where you want to have your room located. Its also helpful to check out the Sandals Montego Bay map before visiting the resort so you feel a bit more at home when you first arrive. My favorite spot on the map is number 27, all the beach front gazebo’s where you can have a drink and chill out all day long. Sandals Montego Bay isn’t a large Jamaican resort but still is large enough to warrant consulting a map. Here is a link to a PDF map of Sandals Montego Bay resort. We’ve also included a small version of the map in this post so you can see quickly what Sandals Montego Bay resort is all about. We also included a Montego Bay video so you can see some parts of this Sandals Resort and translate it to the map below.
Looking for a Sandals Negril Map? Well the map pictured below of this fine Jamaican resort might be a bit small for your tastes, however you can get a full PDF map of Sandals Negril resort at http://www.sandals.com/images-ne/ne-map.pdf this map has a lot of detail showing all the blocks and restaurants, pools and bars. Start at the south end of the map and you’ll find #22 which is the dive shop. This is right next to the boarder to Hedonism where you can walk a bit off the property if you want a peek at the other resort. Next to the north is the Bamboo Grove block of rooms which are more shaded than other areas of Sandals Negril. Number 10 is the 4 C’s a delicious restaurant where you pick your fresh ingredients and the chef’s cook it up for you. Number 17 is the main pool/swim up bar which is also right next to the main lobby and front desk. Number 6 is the Paradise block, my favorite block of rooms. It’s a three level building overlooking a great stretch of beach which also happens to overlook the volleyball court and some of the watersports/sailing areas. Convenient to the beach this is my favorite part of the Sandals Negril map. Above we also included a brief movie of Sandals Negril showing the beach in front of the Piano Bar which is where you’ll likely spend alot of time if you choose to vacation at Sandals Negril resort.
